Romeo + Juliet
By : Adrian Nathaniel Moreno
Welcome to the Romeo+Juliet Homepage. Do you know what an
oxymoron is?
Def: A figure in which an epithet of a contrary signification
is added to a word. Ex: True Lies,
There's no such thing as a true lie or else it wouldn't be a lie.
Well in Romeo + Juliet
there are plenty to go around. Oxymorons were used in this
story to show the feelings
of Romeo and Juliet and the path chosen by fate for them. For example
they use the term
"O' Brawling Love" This term was used to show the love Romeo and
Juliet felt for each other & the brawling part shows the fued between
their families the Capulets and Montagues.
