WORD PLAY
Trace a word through Romeo and Juliet. Create a Powerpoint presentation to support your thesis as to the purpose of the repetition. Use the "Find" tool in your "Edit" menu to search the online script for one or more of the following words:sun, moon, star, day, night, death/dead,
dark, light, grave, poison, dream
RENAISSANCE FAIRE
Using your web research skills, create a web page I could consult if I wanted to put on a Renaissance Fair. This project may be done with a small group. I would want to know about the following Renaissance customs and/or traditions:
- costumes
- food/recipes
- contests/games
- crafts
- famous characters
- music/dancing
- social manners
Top SPEAK THE SPEECH
Use your computer's Sound Recorderto record a series of monologues and soliloquies from the play and save them as sound files. Use them to support an online essay or a Powerpoint presentation to support one of the following:(Start=>Programs=>Accessories=>Multimedia)
- Romeo and Juliet's personalities determined their fate.
- Mercutio and Tybalt both contribute greatly to the disastrous events in the play.
- The Capulets are far worse parents than the Montagues.
- Paris is the most tragic figure in this play.
Top YOU'RE THE DIRECTOR

Using the desktop publishing features of Microsoft Word, create a newspaper which chronicles the events of the play. Include advertisements, entertainment, editorials, sports, and a headline. Give your newspaper a catchy title.FRESHMEN SURVEY
All of the members of the Freshman class read Romeo and Juliet. Create a survey which reflects the opinions of at least 100 Freshmen (Ms. Ford will distribute surveys) regarding the play's characters, plot, the adaptations of it, whether or not it should be a part of the standard curriculum and why, favorite characters/lines/scenes, etc. Report your findings to the class via Powerpoint, flyer, or web page.
