computer industry. References are available upon

Curriculum Designer, CAPPCOMM
Program, 1994-1999
San
Benito High School
The CAPPCOMM program is an innovative
and truly one-of-a-kind program designed to foster dual-language fluency
as well as technical ability in students who are identified as being either
at-risk or who seek to become bilingual
and biliterate. The goal of the program was to better the chances
of entry into four-year universities among Latino students at SBHS.
It was highly
successful.

Technology Mentor, 1998-1999
San
Benito High School
As Technology Mentor at SBHS, I
was responsible for writing our Digital High School Technology Use plan,
a document which garnered a $7.3 million dollar grant for the high school.
I created and directed the staff development program in technology, teaching
classes in MSWord, Powerpoint, Internet Usage, Web Page Design, and PC
Desktop Management. I also worked with teachers to develop lesson
plans which incorporated technology into their standard curriculum.
Finally, I developed a newsletter, TechTips, for staff and parents
informing them of tools on the Internet and their own computers which
could serve as an aid to student learning.
